MDUMC (www.mdumc.org), located in Houston, is home to the Fellows Program and is a dynamic church - loving God, and loving neighbor - whose mission outreach extends throughout the world. The members of MDUMC lovingly live the Gospel through Biblical foundations of worship, growth, witnessing, and giving. In 2008 we proudly celebrated 50 years of ministry.
MDUMC’s youth program is one of the most vibrant anywhere. Great emphasis is placed upon outreach, study, and worship, along with food, fun, and fellowship. Hundreds of area teens participate in the youth program at MDUMC through weekly activities including Bible studies, Sunday night gatherings, and numerous other events. Youth also participate in our summer mission trips each June; over two hundred fifty middle school and high school youth were part of these trips in 2008. Also, the Refuge, located just down the street from the church, is our amazing teen club featuring games, an industrial kitchen, and other opportunities for relational ministry. This amazing facility helps our youth staff minister to our growing youth group and the Fellows will be a vital part of this dynamic ministry.
If you feel like God is calling you into a ministry in youth ministry, this is the place for you. Spending time with mdumcyouth will allow you to have “hands on” training as a part of one of the premier programs anywhere. You will get to know our dedicated staff and be exposed to the basics and more of an active youth program. Fellows will be trained in discipling youth and will lead small groups of youth. You will be a part of the planning team for retreats and outreach projects if desired. This experience will prepare you in a great way for a future in youth ministry.
