About the Fellows Program
The Memorial Drive Fellows Program is a nine month (September - May) leadership development and training program for young adults recently out of college or graduate school. Young adults from different backgrounds and perspectives will come together to engage in a program designed to foster a God-centered view of knowledge, culture, work, and life. Fellows receive theological training and will participate in faith based seminars with scholars, and community and business leaders.  Each Fellow will be mentored by men and women of the MDUMC community.  The program includes ministry both inside and outside the walls of the church as well as a paid internship. Fellows live with host families where intentional community and Christian family life is ever-present.
Statement of Commitment for Fellows

If this statement reflects your own commitment to a life of following Christ, we invite you to contact the Director of the Fellows Program to request an application for admission, or simply download an application by clicking here.

We desire to live according to God's Word in everything we do.

We desire theological training and the opportunity to be exposed to seminary-level teaching, not only for personal growth, but also to help us discern God’s call in our lives for full-time ministry.

We desire to live in community as the body of Christ through His church.

We desire servant hearts, which is faith in action - loving God, and loving neighbor.
Tuition Costs

Each Fellow will live with a host family from the MDUMC congregation.  Room and board are provided at no charge.  Fellows will supplement living expenses with the money earned through the part-time internships.  Each Fellow must provide proof of health insurance and must have transportation.  The tuition for the program is $5,500 and is due before the Fellows begin in September.  It is highly encouraged that Fellows seek prayers from family, friends, and their home church community along with financial support. The tuition costs meet expenses related to the entirety of the program which includes seminary courses and books, retreats and field trips, career evaluation tests, and administrative expenses.  Fellows are classified as full-time students and may be able to defer student loans and retain dependent health insurance status.
