Scripture Reading
How great is
the love the Father has lavished on us, that
we should be called children of God!
- 1 John 3:1
Thought of the Day
Have you ever
heard of Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu? I was
reading this book I have, and found some
words of wisdom and faith by Agnes. They are
most important words for you and for me.
Here they are.
We are all pencils in the hand of God.
If you judge people, you have no time to
love them.
We cannot all do great things, but we can
do small things with great love.
I love these
words. I love the image of God using us to
"write" in this world. By that I imagine
that God uses us to create His masterpiece.
Maybe it means for us to live out His Word.
Of course Agnes is right about judging
others. It is hard to love people that we
are judging. And finally Agnes reminds us
that we can do amazing things with our great
love. Our great love for God and our great
love for others. Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu is a
pretty smart lady. She would have to be
smart in order to spell her middle and last
names. Of course, she did not have to
remember how to spell them after she joined
the convent. All she had to do is remember
that she was Mother Teresa of Calcutta.
Prayer
Lord, give me the faith to love not judge.
Let me do small things with great love. Amen.
