Scripture Reading
God, whom I
serve with my whole heart in preaching the
gospel of His Son, is My witness how
constantly I remember you.
- Romans 1:9
Thought of the Day
I often find
myself sorting and cleaning up stacks of
papers. I wish that someone would invent
some sort of file folder or cabinet to keep
papers to better organize things. Maybe one
day this will happen. Until then I will keep
stacking "important" papers that I save until
I need them.
Of course, in
my latest cleaning up, I found a piece of
paper that was filled with some great quotes
from some great people. As we approach Holy
Week and Easter, I think that these words
from Martin Luther are most special.
"The world does not need a definition of
religion as much as it needs a
demonstration."
I think we are
called by God, to do all we can to
"demonstrate" our faith in all that we do.
Imagine what this world would look like if we
all lived and loved our faith in very
demonstrative ways? We all know it would be
a better place.
So fall on your
knees today and ask God for guidance on what
you can do in the next week and a half on
your way to Easter to show those around you
that you are His. After God says "Go!", then
go out and live and love and serve and feed
and love some more. Rise up and demonstrate
your faith in the name of Christ Jesus. What
a difference it will make in your life and in
the life of those around you!
Prayer
Lord of us all, give me the strength and
courage to witness my faith to others so that
they will see You in all that I do. Amen.
