Scripture Reading
We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in His love. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them.
- 1 John 4:16 (New Living Translation)

Thought of the Day
This is the time of year when I am getting ready for our summer mission trips which means I have stacks of papers everywhere in our den at our house. I have a stack of stuff for our work projects. I have a stack of stuff about our night time programming. I have stacks of papers filled with illustrations and talk ideas. I am forever clipping things out of newspapers or magazines that grab me. If I hear something I want to remember, I will write it down on whatever is close to me. It ends up in the stack.

As I was going through one of the stacks of "good ideas", I came across something I had heard at a wedding a few years ago. The minister was talking about love and God and said something cool. This is what he said:

"We constantly hear the words, God loves you always. I prefer to change that to God loves you anyway."

He went on to remind the bride and groom and the rest of us there that day, that we have a God who loves us anyway. A God who loves us in spite of our brokenness and disobedience. A God who loves us because of who He is, not because of who we are.

Never ever forget that God loves you anyway.

Prayer
O Lord, thank you, thank you, thank you. Amen.
