Scripture Reading
You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.
- 1 John 4:4

Thought of the Day
We are blessed to have the best music guy anywhere who leads our worship with our youth group. Sunday night we were in our youth lounge for MYF and we sang the praise song, "How Great is Our God". This song was written by Chris Tomlin, Jesse Reeves, and Ed Cash. I love the words. Here they are.

The splendor of a King, Clothed in majesty
Let all the earth rejoice, All the earth rejoice
He wraps himself in light, And darkness tries to hide
And trembles at his voice, And trembles at his voice

How great is our God, sing with me
How great is our God, and all will see
How great, How great
Is our God

I love the image created by the third line of the first verse. I love the image of Jesus wrapping himself in the light. I especially love the image of the darkness trying to hide and trembling at His voice.

You know, we all have darkness in our lives; some more than others. It is most comforting for me to know that Christ is the light in my life. Christ in my life helps make the darkness disappear and He can do the same for you. If you don't know this song, find it and listen to it. Then get the words and sing it. Sing with me about how great is our God. Let all the world rejoice. How great, how great is our God! That is the great news today!

Prayer
O King, who is clothed in majesty. clothe me in Your love and grace. Amen.
